Heart Foundation

Heart Foundation

With around 51 people in Australia losing their lives to heart disease every day, it is likely that you know or love someone who has been affected.

To help combat this statistic, we have partnered with the Heart Foundation to help raise awareness about the risk factors for heart disease and ensure we all have healthier, happier hearts. By empowering our community with the knowledge and tools to make positive health behavior changes, we can significantly reduce their risk of heart disease.

For more than 60 years, the Heart Foundation has been working to improve heart disease prevention and support in Australia. Their vision is that heart health will be achievable by everyone in Australia by 2050.

Did you know being inactive is a key risk factor for heart disease?

The good news is, regular physical activity is one of the best things you can do for your heart health. Just one in five (22.4%) adults aged 18–64 years met the physical activity guidelines in 2022* .To meet the Australian Physical Activity Guidelines, adults should aim for 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity each week, and include muscle-strengthening activities on at least two day.

By joining us at Goodlife Health Clubs, you’re one step closer to reaching the recommended amount of physical activity and making a meaningful difference to your own heart health.
