VICTORIA REOPENING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We’re excited to announce that restrictions will be easing further from November 23, 2020. A maximum of 150 people training at any one time within the facility 

  • No bookings or time limits for gym workouts

  • Group Fitness class will have a maximum of 20 (excluding instructor)  with bookings still required

  • Ensuring we meet the density requirement of 1 person per 4m2.

To allow members to have a great workout experience and to support as many of our members as possible we will be making the following changes

  • Group Fitness - we will be increasing Group Fitness timetables (including many more of your favourite classes) to give you the best work out experience possible.

ABOUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Membership billing will recommence at your standard membership rate from November 23rd.  If you are currently on a time freeze and wish to restart your membership now that the restrictions have eased, please call Debit Success 1800 812 461.

HEALTH, SAFETY & CLEANING

How is Goodlife protecting members and staff? 

At Goodlife, the safety of our members and staff is our number one priority. We have put an extensive range of protective measures in place. These include (but not limited to); hygiene stations placed in every area of the club including hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes, a strict “no towel, no train policy”, increased cleaning specifications, adhering to social distancing guidelines, booking in classes to ensure accurate contact tracing. In addition, staff will be provided with disposable gloves, masks, and extensive cleaning kits ready for use.

What are you doing about keeping the gym clean? 

The safety of our members and staff is always our priority. We have also put an extensive range of protective measures in place.  These include 

  • Your club has had a deep clean conducted by our cleaners prior to reopening

  • Social distancing to ensure a minimum of 1.5 metres between each individual whilst exercising

  • Assisting health authorities with contact tracing

  • Increased cleaning and sanitation, including providing hand sanitiser and sanitising gym wipes

  • Ensuring members bring a towel and own water bottle 

  • Thorough cleaning of all equipment by staff 

  • Equipment to be sanitised between uses 


 

CLUB BOOKINGS

How do I book into my Group Fitness session?

You can access the timetable here Goodlife Online Booking. Make sure you have registered before booking a class. Please ensure you register with the same email address you provided when you got started with Goodlife. Register here.

How do I cancel my class?

  • Login to the booking system 

  • Click class  you can't attend 

  • click "remove" button 

  • and you will be removed from that class attendance

How many sessions can I book?

No limits in the number of sessions.

What length are the sessions?

This is dependent on the Group Fitness timetable for each class.

Saunas and Steam rooms will be able to be used from November 23 under density requirements and patron caps. Most Saunas and Steam rooms will be able to operate with 1 or 2 members at any one time.

I can't register? 

You need to login with your email address that you signed up with. If you want to change this email address or can’t remember it - please call or email your local club (details on our website).

How far in advance can I book a class?

Due to high demand, you can now book 7 days in advance for session times, please ensure you only book for classes you can attend.

What do I need to bring to class? 

Please bring your own large towel, water bottle (water bubblers will not be in use) and mat, particularly when attending Yoga and Pilates classes. 


PERSONAL TRAINING

Are PTs going to be available in club?

Yes! We can’t wait for you to train with your favourite PT’s again!  If you don't have a trainer, contact your club's reception team or Fitness Director and they can help you find the perfect trainer for your fitness needs.


CLUB PROCEDURES

What are the new procedures for my workout or class?

Entering Club

  • Please always keep a socially distanced as you enter the club

  • To assist with contact tracing, you will need to have your membership tag/kubo app or 24.7 swipe card so reception can check you in to your class or workout session.

  • Face Masks -  please wear a face mask at all times that you are not exercising.  For additional information on the mandatory wearing of masks, please see guidance from the DHHS here.

  • Temperature Checks - will occur with all staff and members as you enter the club

  • COVID Marshals -  to ensure COVID protocols are followed

During your session

  • Session times will be spaced at least 15 minutes apart to allow for members to sanitise between equipment used. On arrival to your class, please avoid congregating around the studio entry. 

  • Goodlife will have floor markers in the group fitness rooms for members to ensure these requirements are adhered to. 

  • We are following a no towel no train policy, please ensure you bring a towel when you visit us. They can also be purchased from reception

  • Class programming has been re-designed to avoid member interaction and sharing of equipment. We ask that members adhere to social distancing guidelines by following the floor markings within the studio for the duration of the class. 


When will childminding be available at my club?

At this stage, childminding will not be available. We will commence a phased re-opening of childminding in 2021. 


Will change room facilities be open?

Yes, however you will still need to exit the club within your 45 minute workout time.
